THE OCEAN IMPACT PODCAST IS LIVE. GET TO KNOW DAVID CARTER FROM AUSTRAL FISHERIES

Last week was a big week at Ocean Impact Organisation. On Thursday, we had the official launch of The Ocean Impact Podcast, and we’re so grateful for the amazing response we’ve received so far. We also held our first Instagram Live concert on Friday evening with Billy Otto, the awesome artist behind our podcast theme, “Can’t Take The Ocean Out Of Me”. We had a great time and extend a massive thank you to Billy too!

In case you haven’t taken a dip into the podcast yet, the first three episodes can be found on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, and the video versions are up on YouTube.

We are very excited to release Episode Four of the podcast today, which features an incredible conversation between Tim and David Carter, who is the CEO of sustainable fishing company Austral Fisheries. In this episode they discuss David's 42 years in the seafood industry and the wealth of achievements he and Austral have made, including: being the world's first carbon-neutral fishing company, Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification for all their major fisheries and their alliances with wildlife conservation organisations like Sea Shepherd and WWF.

The episode also discusses the new Seafood For Good Accelerator being run by Austral Fisheries and social impact accelerator Start Some Good. Applications are now open for startups and established businesses who want to help expand the market for Austral sustainable seafood in Australia.
