PITCHFEST 2022 WINNERS ANNOUNCED LIVE AT INNOVOCEAN

Sydney, 25 November 2022

The Winners, Runners Up and Spotlight Award recipients of The Ocean Impact Pitchfest 2022 presented by HP Australia were revealed on Thursday 24 November at OIO’s inaugural INNOVOCEAN event at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney. See below for a full list of the Award recipients.

For the first time ever, the Winners were announced LIVE in front of 200+ invite-only guests at OIO’s inaugural INNOVOCEAN ocean impact showcase proudly funded by the NSW Government Department of Planning and Environment. The Hon. James Griffin MP, Minister for the Environment and Heritage attended the event to congratulate OIO on their work and present the inaugural NSW Ocean Innovation Award.

In addition to the live Pitchfest award ceremony, INNOVOCEAN showcased a diverse range of startups who have participated and been recognised in OIO’s programs since 2020.

A central feature of the INNOVOCEAN event was the live pitches from the six participants in the inaugural Ocean Impact Accelerator Program 2022 (OIAP). Having participated in the OIAP virtually over the past 7-months, the cohort from across the world gathered for the first time at INNOVOCEAN and each delivered exceptional 3-minute pitches to the gathered guests. Congratulations to: Mayani, Nuvoe, RiverRecycle, Saathi, Skyology and Uuvipak for nailing their pitches and completing the program.
